Brown individuals. Job SummaryDevelops contacts and leads to
generate Small Business Administration (SBA) loan financing for
business customers. The main product line is intended to provide
financing, through the SBA program, for various commercial
offerings. More than 80% of time is spent on outside sales
activities and functions and generating leads through cold calling
and existing contacts. Consults with customers and prospects to
understand current business practices and identify financial goals
and needs.
ResponsibilitiesProspect, structure and originate new SBA 7(a) and
SBA Express loans.Drive new business development through consistent
and focused calling activity.Build relationships and maintain a
referral network of business brokers, business/professional
associations, accountants, lawyers to solicit SBA loan
opportunities.Structure SBA loan proposals, complete initial
analysis and compile a complete application package.Structure
products and service solutions to maximize opportunities and
minimize risk for the organization, as well as meet individual
client needs.Meet or exceed all performance goals and targets
related to the identification, solicitation, and acquisition of new
clients.Partner with commercial lenders and internal partners to
develop SBA opportunities and educate on SBA Lending to facilitate
an increase in quality referrals.Maintain knowledge of SBA
procedures and organization policies.Analyze customers' needs and
ascertain their financial position and credit worthiness; establish
and negotiate terms, costs, repayment methods, collateral
requirements, and rates; manage relationship with customer
monitoring repayment activities and variance in changes in the
company.Analyze, synthesize, and communicate complex data,
financial data and related issues in an accurate, objective and
straightforward manner.Interact with internal and external clients
and provide extraordinary service.Develop and maintain trusted,
positive relationships with other employees, clients, and
vendors
RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent; college degree in
business or finance preferredAt least five years of SBA lending or
sales experienceAnalytical and problem solving skillsOrganizational
skills to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines in an
orderly, productive mannerStrong client service and interpersonal
skills in dealing with both internal and external
clientsTeam-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively
across all levels of the organizationCustomer service and
collection skills to handle situations which require assertiveness
and discretionMust possess and maintain current and valid driver's
license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.Ability
to travel throughout market for various meetings and appointments.
