  • Job Details
  • SICU (6CA) with 12 beds
  • Nurse:Patient Ratios of 1:2, 1:3 depending on downgrade/acuity/emergency admit
  • Common diagnoses include liver/kidney transplant, vascular surgeries, ENT for cancer, abdominal surgeries
  • RNs required to titrate drips
  • Charge Nurse on each shift, may take full assignment
  • Intermittent nurse aids/patient care techs on unit
  • Intensivist and APPs in house 24/7
  • Self-scheduling within reason, balanced by management
  • Weekend requirements of 4-6 days in 6 weeks
  • Floating to other ICUs within hospital based on skill set
    • Job Requirements
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • NIHSS preferred
    • 3+ years of experience
    • Previous travel experience in a busy hospital
      • Schedule Information
      • Self-scheduling allowed within reason
      • Weekend requirements of 4-6 days in 6 weeks
      • May have call or standby requirement based on census
      • 2 shifts of unit/department specific orientation
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Common titratable drips include vasopressin, epinephrine, levophed, heparin, dobutamine, dopamine, versed, hydromorphone, fentanyl, ketamine, nimbex, esmolol, cardene
        • Teal bottoms, black or printed coordinating scrub top, no fleece jackets
        • Professional and identifiable as nursing staff
          • Additional Details
          • Daily parking is $15+/day
          • Multiple options for on/off campus garages and lots ranging from $95 - $120 for monthly parking pass
          • Candidates need to be flexible on scheduling - no self-scheduling
          • EPIC required
