Job Description:
Immediately seeking a SharePoint Administrator/Developer
for a Direct hire role in the Galleria area. Our client is seeking
a SharePoint Administrator/Developer reporting directly to the
Manager, Applications Development. Primary responsibilities include
supporting the existing SharePoint 2013, MOSS 2007, and WSS
environments and migrating to SharePoint 2013 including configuring
and deploying Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2013 applications;
must be able to make informed recommendations pertaining to MS
SharePoint information and site architecture, infrastructure,
software implementation and web parts design, testing and
deployment. Specifically, recommending and documenting best
practices for software configuration, site permission policy, and
site content management. Supporting the current SharePoint
environment will be the primary focus. This includes configuration,
security management, performance management, supporting business
needs, and other administration tasks.

The person needs to be able to easily communicate with our business
community and work with the lead SharePoint Admin who is located in
Florida.
Job Responsibilities:
• SharePoint 2013 Enterprise, MOSS 2007 Enterprise, and WSS 3.0
• Designing the SharePoint farm architecture for Medium to Large
scale implementations
• Understanding security and best practices with SharePoint
provisioning
• Installing and upgrading SharePoint
• Migrating sites and content to SharePoint 2013
• Provide and maintain solutions that exploit “out of the box"
SharePoint functionality.
• Deploying OOB SharePoint sites, web parts, workflows, libraries,
and lists
• Support deployment of custom solutions when required to meet
business objectives.
• Support and troubleshoot production issues.
• Training users on processes and systems.
• Consult across the organization on SharePoint-related projects
and technologies.
• Work with customers to help define customer requirements,
communicating opportunities where technology can be used to improve
business processes.
• Collaborate with SharePoint Development team regarding
architecture, review of new technologies and selection of 3rd party
tools.
• An understanding of the TFS/SharePoint integration
• Creating and customizing Timer Jobs
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or
related discipline
• 4+ years hands-on experience administering SharePoint 2007 and
2010 solutions (SharePoint 2013 is a plus)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detailed oriented and effective time management
• Problem solving skills with the ability to identify root
cause
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to participate as an
individual or as an active team member
• Decision-making skills with the ability to weigh alternatives and
select the best course of action
The following would be a plus:
o Previous SharePoint upgrade and migration experience
o Microsoft SharePoint certification
o Installation and configuration of the BI stack applications such
as Power Pivot, PerformancePoint Services, and Excel Services
o Understanding of Kerberos/NTLM authentication and Forms Based
(LDAP) authentication
