Job Type: Regular Plains All American is an industry-leading
transportation and midstream provider specializing in
transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for
crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). We own an extensive
network of pipeline transportation, terminalling, storage and
gathering assets in key crude oil and NGL producing basins and
transportation corridors and at major market hubs in the United
States and Canada. On average, Plains handles more than 6 million
barrels per day of crude oil and NGL in its Transportation segment.

a dynamic and entrepreneurial work environment. Job Purpose/Summary
This position is responsible for minimizing technical risk in
project delivery and ensuring that new solutions work with existing
solutions. As part of the Enterprise Architecture team, this role
will provide technical leadership and ensure alignment with our
enterprise strategy and project delivery governance. This role will
be integral in defining how solutions will be delivered in a
secure, cost effective, and consistent manner across the
organization in alignment with the company's strategies and desired
business capabilities. Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight and leadership in Enterprise
Architecture as the technical mirror of the project manager.
- Collaborate with business partners, Business architects,
Integration Leads, project managers and business analysts to
deliver cost effective solutions that provide value to the
organization, in alignment with our processes and technical
requirements.
- Clearly articulate the alignment of technical choices with
Enterprise Technology Plan, Enterprise Technology Foundations and
business objectives.
- Create and own architecture documentation supporting Enterprise
Architecture stage gates in Discovery and project delivery.
- Present architectures as part of the Architecture
governance.
- Architect solutions that are easy to support and integrate well
with existing solutions.
- Maintain architectural patterns and standards.

- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or
equivalent professional business experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an architectural role plus an
additional 10 years of progressive experience in information
technology.
- Experience in architecture, design, application development and
systems integration.
- Experience designing and implementing complex, multi-tier,
end-to-end solutions.
- Experience in multiple architectural disciplines (solution,
data, security, integration, network).
- Experience with cloud architectures.
- Experience in building secure applications.
- Experience in integrating 3rd party and COTS applications.
- Experience working with service providers.
- Experience with BI and analytics.
- Experience with agile delivery.
- Experience with service oriented architecture.
- Experience in building and executing testing.
- Experience with source control.
- Experience in Midstream or logistics considered an asset.
- Experience with Information Management.
- Experience with field systems.
- Efficiently manage deliverables for multiple initiatives.
- Possess a comfortable presentation style suitable for business
and technical audiences.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with
internal clients.

- Understand and maintain knowledge of current trends in
Information Technology.
- Knowledge of application modeling languages/techniques (e.g.,
UML, OML).
- Experience in enterprise integration.
- Experience creating conceptual, logical and physical
models.
- Experience in building and maintaining logical, physical and
contextual diagrams.
- Experience in developing data sharing standards.
- Solid understanding of transaction and information systems,
data warehouses, data marts, ODS, MDM methodologies and life cycle
as well as ETL and MDM technologies.
- Strong solution design and facilitation skills. Able to
facilitate the design process working collaboratively with cross
functional teams.
- Experience with a variety of data access and analytics
approaches (eg: API design, Data Modeling, and Microservice
architectures).
- Experience using Microsoft's data platform.
- Experience with distributed management and analytics in cloud
and hybrid environments.
- TOGAF, SOA certification or similar EA framework considered an
asset.
- Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory
reference checks.
- Compliance with the Company's drug and alcohol policy including
pre-employment D&A testing.
