Job Description:
Overview:Linde LGUS is currently seeking a Control Valve
Specialist that will be based at our Deer Park, TX, Whiting, IN,
Geismar, LA, or Buffalo, NY location. This position will report to
the HYCO South Maintenance/TAR Manager and will work with the
Maintenance organization to support the safe & reliable operation
of our facilities.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain documentation such as EAM/Procal work
orders, service reports and equipment calibration records as
required by standards and procedures.
- Assemble, test, and troubleshoot, remove, and install valves
and other equipment per applicable codes and standards per
manufacturer and/or Linde requirements.
- Perform calibration of measurement equipment in accordance with
internal quality procedures.
- Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to
meet tolerances and product operating requirements.
- Project Management duties for large valve/PSA projects.
(budgeting, manpower loading, securing funding).
- Schedule and perform activities related to the operation and
maintenance of pneumatics/instrumentation, on control valves.
- Support and improve PM program for valve fleet including high
cycle control valves, critical control valves, specialty service
valves.
- Support of startup / shutdown and operations of process plant
equipment
- Ensure spare parts are available or replaced when
used/installed.
- Use RCA methodology on failures and support plant reviews.
- Prepare and execute projects to improve facility availability
and reliability.
- Maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental
awareness at all times.
- Required to climb ladders, stairways and operate man-lifts for
elevated instrumentation and control valve maintenance.
- Schedule and Direct contractor activities in all related areas
covered above when required.
- Work with Engineering to support specification improvements,
critical vendor qualification, QA/QC, RCA support for new and
existing locations within LGUS.This position requires a combination
of office work and field work including travel within the U.S. The
Specialist will support the operation of our facilities to ensure
they are maintained in a safe, reliable and environmentally
friendly manner. The job occasionally requires overtime and
callouts on weekend, nights and holidays. Employee must be able to
access elevated equipment via ladders, scaffolding and man-lifts.
Position also requires providing turnaround support within the U.S.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to
Maintain working relationships with maintenance and operations
personnel in a team environment.Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automated/manual valve
maintenance and repair.
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent
combination of 10+ years of work experience and technical training
required.
- Proven understanding of regulatory and industrial standards and
codes
- Proven understanding of control and instrumentation systems in
industrial environment.
- Proven experience in computers and standard software packages
(MS Office, E-Mail etc.).
- Knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance of Industrial
equipment.Desired Qualifications:
- Associate Degree from a technical school
- At least 3+ years of Industrial Gas Operations experience
- Proven experience in CMMS systems such as ProCal and Infor EAM
