SummaryThe primary purpose of the Clinical Infrastructure
Project Director is to represent the Clinical Infrastructure team
on construction/renovation projects. Serve as lead in the execution
of strategies that enable the institution to effectively use its
physical space and prepare for future infrastructure needs. This
role also leads clinical operations and infrastructure efforts
including divisional and institutional planning initiatives.
Develop and monitor project efforts to ensure projects are
completed on time and within budget.MD Anderson Cancer Center is
seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Director for our
Clinical Strategic Infrastructure Projects, specializing in
Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems with emphasis on
hospital design. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree
in Engineering or Construction Management and seven years of
healthcare planning and designing, construction management, or
related experience to include five years project/program
management.Project ManagementAttend project meetings and provide
input and direction at all phases of projects. Track status of
multiple projects within the clinical enterprise. Coordinate and
conduct meetings to apprise clinical leaders on status of projects
focusing on the overall project schedule, programming, and
resolution of pending issues. Conduct meetings in a timely manner
to resolve project-related issues with appropriate stakeholders.
Manage project meeting communications in an organized and concise
manner while tracking action items and
deliverables.CommunicationsDevelop and adjust project
communications plans to ensure that appropriate project information
is effectively communicated to appropriate audiences within the
institution at appropriate times. Develop and make presentations as
needed to effectively communicate appropriate project information
to various stakeholders. Compile both visual and written
communications to inform institutional leaders of project status,
both details and in a dashboard format.CollaborationCoordinate and
conduct periodic meetings to apprise Project Core Team, Senior
Leadership or Facilities Steering Committee as to status of
assigned projects focusing on the overall project schedule, budget,
and resolution of pending issues. Collaborate with architects,
engineers, and project management professionals on design
requirements, value engineering options along with approval for
deviations to MDACC owner's design guidelines. Collaborate with
stakeholders to develop building operations planning to ensure
smooth and efficient clinical operations.EDUCATIONRequired:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction
Management, Construction Science or related field.Preferred:
Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction
Management, Construction Science or related
field.EXPERIENCERequired: Seven years healthcare planning and
designing, construction management, or related experience to
include five years project/program management. With preferred
degree, five years healthcare planning and designing, construction
management, or related experience to include three years
